Years 3
Years 4
Years
Number of players: 2 - unlimited
Print off 2 shape sheets per player (link below)
Use 1 shape sheet as the treasure hunt cards. Cut these cards out.
Use the second shape sheet as the shape board where each player will put
his shape cards to make sure he’s found all the cards that were
hidden.
Teachers: Have students color their shape sheets. Cut out shape
cards from only one of the shape sheets so you’ll have 9 cards per
player. Use the other shape sheet as the playing board. Have each player
put his name on the top of his shape playing board.
Parents: Give each player two shape sheets. Have each player
color his shape sheets. Cut out shape cards from one shape sheet. Each
player will have 9 cards total. Use the other shape sheet as the playing
board. Have each player put his name on the top of his shape playing
board.
Play Instructions: Have one person who isn’t playing hide all
shape cards inside or outside. Tell players that they will need to go on
a hunt to find the shape cards. They need to find one of each shape, 9
total. When a player finds a shape card he is to bring it back to his
shape game board and place it on the matching shape square. He’s then
to hunt for more shapes. All players should continue hunting until one
player has found all 9 shapes and filled his board.
How to win: The player who covers his game board with all 9
shape-cards is the winner. The winner must then tell all the other
players the name of all 9 shapes.
