Number of players: 2 - unlimited
Print off 4 copies of the target per game. (Link below)
Print off 1 copy of Action List per game. (Link below)
Give each player a blank piece of 8X10 paper and one crayon. Make
sure all players get a different color crayon.
Teachers: Give each student a piece of 8X10 paper and one
color crayon. (Make sure all students get a different color
crayon.) Have students scribble all over the piece of paper, covering it
with their color. When students are done coloring, crumple each
piece of paper into a ball with the colored part on the outside.
You can leave it loose, or put tape around it to make the ball a little
harder. Place 4 target sheets on the table. Separate them so
all students have one fairly close. Have students hold their paper
ball and sit at the table.
Parents: Same as above.
Play Instructions A (10 or more players)
* Have all players roll their ball towards one of the targets on the
table.
* Choose one player to count the balls that didn't make it onto the
targets. (Give each player a turn to count.)
* Have the counter announce how many balls didn't make it on the
targets.
* Look at the Action list. If only 1 ball missed a target then
tell the group to do action #1. If 2 balls missed the target have
the group do action #2 and so on.
* Have players get their balls and throw them again.
* Continue the game for as long as you'd like. This is a great way
to teach children body parts, help with coordination and also get a
better understanding of numbers and counting.
Play Instructions B (Less than 10 players)
* Have all players roll their ball towards one of the targets on the
table.
* Choose one player to count the balls that didn't make it onto the
targets. (Give each player a turn to count.)
* Have the counter announce how many balls didn't make it on the
targets.
* Have the group do action 1 from the action list the first time balls
miss the targets. Have players do action 2 the second time balls
miss the targets. When you've done all 10 actions the game is
over. If you're still having fun you can repeat the game all over
again.
How to win: There are no winners of this game. This
is just for fun and a good way to teach coordination, body parts,
numbers and counting.
