Teachers: All students can play against each other. This game is
a great inside or outside game. Cut out the letter cards and have the
children color their own stack. Have the students stand in a line,
arm-to-arm. Place one game board behind each student on the ground.
Place each child’s letter cards face down, anywhere from 3 or more
feet in front of them, depending on how much energy the children need to
burn. Then begin the game.
Parents: Have your child color his letter card sheet. Cut out
every player’s letter cards. Have players stand next to each other
arm-to-arm. Place the game boards behind each player on the ground.
Place the letter cards face down, 3 or more feet in front of each
player.
Play Instructions: Object of the game is to fill up your game
board with all of the letter cards in the order of A, B and C. To start
the game shout, “Go!” All players run down to their letter cards and
turn them over one-by-one, searching for the letter A. When a player
finds the letter A, he is to run back to his board and place it on the A
spot. (If a player flips over the wrong card he must turn it face down
again before flipping another one.) After placing the card on the
correct spot, the player is to run back to his letter cards and try to
find the B. He then runs back and places the B on the B spot of his game
board and returns to the card stack to find the letter C.
How to win: The first player to have the letter A, B, and C cards
on his board is the winner.
