Active Games  
Find a Face (BG)
(Each player gets a blank head and shoulder picture.  Then they answer questions about their eyes, ears, nose and mouth.  Then find pictures of facial features and build a face and color it.)
Carry A Number
(Players carry number sheets across the
room using a paper tube.)
Skip to a Shape (SG)
(Shape and X cards are placed on the outskirts of the room.  The moderator picks and action card and players do that action as they walk towards the cards.  They pick one card and bring it back to center of room. First player to find 4 shape cards wins.  Teaches shapes.)
Slightly Moving (BG)
(Show players a card with a body part on it.  Player has to slightly move that part and see if the other players can figure out what part he's moving.)

Active Stories
Farm Animals on the Loose (AG)
(A story about farm animals that get loose.  Players get pictures of animals and need to bring them up and place them near the barn when the animals are found in the story.)
A Dog and Frog and a Log (AG)
(A rhyming story about a dog, frog and log.  Players hold up pictures when the words are said in the story.  Learn about rhyming words.)

April's Adventure (MG)
(A story about a little girl doing good things around the home to get a reward from her mom.  She has to follow a map to the reward. Teaches children to draw a line and teaches the concept of a map.)
I Love Letters (LG)
(A story about a girl who loves letters.  Listeners interact with the story using their own set of letters.)
The Fruit Bowl (MG)
(A boy shops with his mom and the listener helps put the fruit in the fruit bowl.)


Activities
Finding Vowels (LG)
(Children write their names on a score sheet and find the vowels in their names, one letter at a time.  They circle the vowels on the score sheet.)
Letter Strips (LG)
(Print off Giant Letter Sheets and cut blank paper into strips.  Have players use the strips to make the letters on the letter sheet.)
Healthy Teeth (BG)
(Tell players facts about brushing their teeth.  Have them make a toothbrush out of paper.  As questions and if they get the answer correct they get to use their paper toothbrush to brush a picture of a tooth.)
Stranger Safety (MG)
(Teach about strangers and what to do when approached by a stranger.  Discuss people in uniform and have them color a picture with uniformed people in it.)
A Sunny Day (MG)
(The players talk about the sun, color a picture of the sun and sing a song called A Sunny Day.)
Making Faces (BG)
(Create a face with different feature pictures.)


Board Games
Life Cycle of a Butterfly (AG)
(Each player gets a game board and a dice.  They learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, then roll their dice at the same time and move their game piece around the board, going from egg to caterpillar to cocoon to butterfly.  First player to reach the butterfly wins.)
Colorful Letters (LG)
(Players get a large picture of a letter with 12 boxes inside the letter.  Players all pick a card at the same time and color in the number of boxes on the letter that match the number on the card.  Players continue picking cards at the same time and coloring in the letter picture until one player has colored in his entire letter.)
Complete the Shape (SG)

(Each player gets a game board with one particular shape on it and dotted lines to form the shape.  They pick cards and follow instructions by either drawing on the dotted line to create the shape or coloring in one of the shapes.  Teaches shapes and how to draw them.)
Planting a Flower (MG)
(Move around the board collecting items to use to plant a flower.)


Card Games
Feeling Shapes (SG)
(Give one player 12 cards of 2 different types of shapes cut out of cardstock.  Have the other player close his eyes and feel each shape card. If they guess it right they get a point.  Teaches the difference between 2 shapes.)

Higher or Lower (NG)
(Roll a number dice and higher or lower dice and have players discard number cards that match what the dice instructions say.  This teaches numbers 1 - 5 and the concept of higher or lower.)
Matching Those Numbers (NG)
(Players get 5 number cards.  Roll a dice and place the matching number card on the matching square on the game board.  First player out of cards is the winner.)
Five Fingers (NG)
(Players hold a varied number of fingers 
out, then they flip over a card.  If the 
number of fingers they’re holding up match 
the number on the card, they get a point.)
Match and Tap Shapes (SG)
(2 players flip cards at the same time, 
player with green card wins pair.)

Matching Games
Vehicles in Flight (MG)
(Flip over cards and find their match.  All cards have pictures of vehicles that fly.)
Pair of As (AG)
(Put large cards with pictures of items that start with the letter A on the floor, up-side-down.  Give the first player a card.  That player is to find that match.  If they don't, the next player gets the card and is to try and find the match.  Player with most cards wins.  Teaches the letter A)
Matching Dinosaurs
(Turn dinosaur cards over to find the matching
pairs.)  


Paper Ball Games
Action Numbers (NG)
(Players are told to pick up either 1, 2, or 3 paper balls and to do an action with that ball then throw it back in the pile.  This encourages eye-hand coordination and the concept of numbers.)
Right and Left Moves (BG)
(Players hold a paper ball in their right or left hand, depending on the instructions, and do actions with the paper ball.  Teaches the concept of right and left.)
Go Go Go ((MG)
(Toss a paper ball onto 4 game boards, follow the instructions on the board and do activities and run and get Go cards.  It’s an active game.)
Number Toss (NG)
(Players try to knock down number targets with a paper ball.)


Paper Dice Games
You print the dice and create them yourself.
Got that Number (NG)
(Each player gets 3 number cards.  A dice is rolled and players are to discard the card that matches the dice.  First player to be out of cards wins.  This teaches numbers 1,2 and 3.)
Five Senses (BG)
(Players discuss the 5 senses.  Then they roll a dice with a picture of an eye, nose and mouth on it.)
Guessing Challenge (MG)
(Guessing game where players take challenges to guess if pictures on card will be hot or cold, hard or soft etc…)
Please and Thank You (CHG)
(Roll dice and pass cards around to players.  Fast moving, fun game.)

Puzzles
 
The Same Shape (SG)
(Three puzzles, Circle, Square and Rectangle, that have items that are the same shape inside the shape.  Circle has sun, ring, donut and tomato.  Teaches shapes and eye-hand coordination.)
Friendship Puzzle (CHG)
(Discuss what it means to be a good friend.  Then color a friendship picture, cut the picture into strips to make it into a puzzle and have players put the puzzle back together.)


Stackables
Stacking the Weather (MG)
(The blocks have a sun, moon, cloud, star, rain and lightning bolt on them.  Discuss facts about each part of the weather.  Players each get a block to color.  They take turns rolling the dice and stacking that many blocks on a pile.
)
Four Tubes (NG)
(Create tubes with the numbers 1 -4 on them and have players stack them by following simple instructions.  It teaches them the numbers 1,2,3 and 4.)
Numbers and Dots (NG)
(Blocks have numbers 1-12 on them and dots that match the numbers.)


Treasure Hunt Games
Clean-up Time (MG)
(Place pictures of a kitchen sink, toy chest or laundry basket on table or floor. Children hunt for picture of clothes, utensils and toys and place them next to the picture that shows where they should put those items when cleaning up.  This teaches them to clean-up.)
What Frogs Eat (AG)
(Learn what frogs eat, then hunt for flies and place on frogs.)
