Counting Bugs Number and Bug Puzzles (Activity Instructions)

2 Years      3 Years      4 Years

Number of players:
 1 - unlimited
Print off 1 puzzle per player. (Link below)
*Best if cardstock paper is used when printing puzzles.

Teachers: If teaching numbers we suggest that you dedicate 1 day per number puzzle.  Monday do the puzzle with numbers 1 and 2, Tuesday do the puzzle with numbers 3 and 4 and so on.  You could teach numbers 1-10 in 5 days.  Print off 1 puzzle per student.  Have each student color his puzzle.  Cut puzzles into 4 sections.  If that is too easy, cut into more strips or squares.  You can discuss the numbers on each puzzle and tell the students the names of the bugs on the puzzles.

Parents:  Give each player one puzzle sheet.  Have each player color the puzzle.  Cut the puzzle into 4 strips.

Play Instructions: Have players put the puzzles back together.  If it's too easy, cut the paper strips again making more puzzle pieces.

How to win:
There are no winners when doing puzzles.  If you want to make it a game, you could do speed puzzles and the first player to put the puzzle together is the winner.
