Active Story: A Day at the Zoo

Susie loved the zoo.  She and her family made their first stop to look at the giant grey (guess animal)………….elephant.

She loved its big ears.

Next they visited a family of banana eating

(guess animal)……………………………….monkeys.

Susie yelled “ooow, ooow, ah, ah” at them and laughed.

Then they were off to see the long necked

 (guess animal)………………………………. giraffe.

“The giraffe’s neck is so long I bet he can see the world!”, shouted Susie, in an excited voice.

At the next stop she saw an animal that she had never seen before. (Guess animal)  “That’s called an ostrich”, said mom.

Susie walked around flapping her arms and sticking out her neck. “Look mom, I am an ostrich”, said Susie.

 “Mommy, mommy, when are we going to see my favorite animal?” Asked Susie. 

“It’s right up around the corner,” mom replied. 

“Yipee,I can’t wait to roar hello,” shouted Susie, as she ran to the next stop. “There it is, it’s so much prettier in person.  Big and fluffy and a little scary too.  This is my favorite spot!”  What is Susie’s favorite animal?
